2,6-dinitro-4-aminotoluene (16–57 µg) and 2,4-diamino-6-nitrotoluene (0.26–0.54 µg) were detected by mass spectrometry in the urine of rats (200–250 g) during the 48 hours after a dose of 20 mg 2,4,6-TNT.
2,4,6 Trinitrotoluene (TNT): In identification and characterisation of high explosives thermoptometry with or without DSC plays an important role. High explosives may be organic, inorganic or mixtures of the two. McCrone [ 38] showed that inorganic compounds can be identified by microchemical tests.
