  2. CDPH-VR is only able to provide you with a Certificate of Record, which includes the names of the parties, filing date, county, and case number of the divorce. Copies of the actual divorce decree can only be obtained from the Superior Court in the county where the divorce took place.

  6. Print. Courts may keep official case records in paper or electronic format. Official case records are documents or materials filed with a court in a case or lawsuit. Parties file records in a case asking courts to decide their dispute or take other action. Courts file orders and decisions.

  7. Request Form: If online access is not available, you may need to fill out a request form for divorce records. This form can often be found on the superior court’s website or obtained by visiting their office in person.
