21 Ιαν 2014 · So I figured out that red means no iMessage, obviously, but my question is when I add the contact the mobile number and email both have iMessage next to it. I select the mobile number and the name is blue, it then turns to red after about 5-10 seconds.
2 Ιουν 2020 · If you find that a contact's number is in red, that means you can't send iMessages to this number. You will have to send normal SMS message.
A contact number is red if you missed a call. You’ll see a red number on the phone app, facetime app, or that same screen you’re on. If you want to test this theory, go ahead & call that number back.

19 Σεπ 2014 · One way you will get the red contacts is if the iMessages account is not enabled. Go to iMessages's preferences. And make sure the enabled check box is ticked. You Will also get the red contacts if you are not signed in. If that is the case you will need to sign in to see the enable check box. Share.
