6 Δεκ 2009 · I replaced the batteries in my smart key fobs, and now I cannot get into the car intermittently. The remote won't work all the time, the light on the fob lights brightly every time consistently. Even if I left the doors unlocked, sometimes I walk up to the car and the doors are locked.
29 Ιαν 2011 · The system was designed to unlock from the outside ONLY by grabbing the door handle (if the key is on you), by the SmartKey fob button, or by the mechanical key blade. Any other method is a malfunction of the system.
31 Αυγ 2010 · I've seen this many times with a regular key where the front wheels were turned and the steering wheel is under tension. You can't turn the ignition key without jerking the wheel back and forth. The smart key system uses a little motorized pawl to lock the wheel and it's not very powerful.
10 Ιαν 2021 · Assuming a new battery and the polarity is correct, open the remote key, inside you are going to find metal fingers springs that make contact with the battery. Gently squeezy these metal finger up towards each other.
2 Μαΐ 2019 · What I have noticed is that the driver's door will not always open when I touch the raised markings on the door handle while I have the smart key in my pocket. Most of the time it works but occasionally the door handle and unlocking mechanism do not activate to allow me to open the door.
27 Αυγ 2012 · My back up smart key (2006 m35x) will start my car only when placed into the lil slot. that sucks but its not the end of the world. Suckie part is that i cannot (un)lock the doors with the fob nor open the trunk from the rear of the vehicle.
18 Μαΐ 2016 · Parked it in the driveway and a couple days later went to go out and pressed door unlock on the smart key and nothing happened. Opened the door with the valet key and put smart key in ignition, but it wouldn't even turn.
