4 Ιαν 2019 · PDF 1.4 is widely used as the basis for the first version of the PDF/A format ( PDF/A-1 ). It is also used for versions of the PDF/X family of standards for prepress graphics exchange published in 2003. In early 2019, the LibreOffice Export to PDF command produces a PDF 1.4 file.
Both formats today coexist in the PDF specification: AcroForms (also known as Acrobat forms), introduced in the PDF 1.2 format specification and included in all later PDF specifications. XML Forms Architecture (XFA) forms, introduced in the PDF 1.5 format specification.
