The Desktop version or PC version of Terraria refers to the Windows, macOS, and Linux PC versions. These versions are produced entirely by Re-Logic, Terraria's original developer (whereas the current Console version is being worked upon by DR Studios, a third-party developer).
17 July 2022. 1.3.6 is a major content update released on May 16, 2016 for Terraria. This update contains a large number of new features, gameplay changes, bug fixes and more. New Features. The new "Frozen" biome has been added, along with several new enemies and NPCs.

There isn't a release date yet and Re-Logic doesn't plan on giving one in the immediate future. This update has been pretty organic in that the team made a game plan but found great ideas along the way and went with them.
2 Μαΐ 2019 · 1.3.6 Release Date On April 14, Cenx on Terraria discord said "1.3.6 will probably be around 5-8months from now". This means the update will be out somewhere between September to December.
At long last, we have reached the day that once seemed impossible - Terraria on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will receive the 1.3.5 update today, bringing console Terraria up to parity with the live PC version of the game!
