Check in online and print your boarding pass at home to save time at the airport. Online Check-In begins 24 hours and closes 1 hour before your flight. This is a good time to add extras, like bags or seat assignments.
We may require a carry-on bag to travel as a checked bag if it cannot be safely stowed on a particular flight. Checked bags: Maximum of 62 linear inches (length + width + height; 158 cm) including handles and wheels and maximum of 50 pounds (22.6 kg) in weight.
Current bag prices are available here. One personal item that fits in the smaller sizer box (like a small backpack) is included with your ticket. Another personal item or anything larger like a standard carry-on or checked bag will need to be paid for.
If you check in online and purchase your bags in advance (that weigh 50 lbs. or less), you are eligible for our Bag Drop service at the airport. PRO TIP: If you are traveling internationally, you'll be required to enter your passport information before buying any bags or seats and printing your boarding pass.
3 Φεβ 2023 · NOTE: The price is lower if you pay for your bags at the time of booking, slightly higher before online check-in and much higher during online check-in. At the airport, you will need to pay more at the gate than at the check-in counter.
4 Φεβ 2024 · If you wait to add a carry-on as you check in online, the price starts at $43. At the check-in desk, the price rises to $89, and if your carry-on is determined to be larger than Spirit's carry-on policy, you can expect to pay a minimum of $99 at the gate.
