31 Ιαν 2024 · Compensation for American Airlines Canceled Flights. If your flight is canceled by American Airlines, you’re entitled to a full refund, even if you purchased a non-refundable ticket.
Refunds (request or status check) If you bought your ticket or related travel products and services through American Airlines, you can request a refund or check your refund status. If you bought your ticket from a travel agent or on another website, contact them for refund help.
Request a Refund. Simply enter your ticket number and passenger last name and go! We'll look up your ticket and advise you of your refund eligibility and options. Refund requests must be submitted individually for each ticket in a record locator.
Fully or partially unused refundable tickets may be submitted to American Airlines for possible refund. Many tickets contain fare restrictions that limit their refundable value and require fees and/or penalties to be deducted from any refund of the original ticket.
25 Ιαν 2023 · If you need to change your flight by a few hours, you may be on the hook for a $1,000 fare difference. Meanwhile an airline could cancel your flight for any reason and rebook you hours later, and not owe you anything. American doesn’t owe you compensation for delays.
Refund request. You'll need to submit a separate request for each ticket number associated with your reservation. Seats and bags have a unique ticket number as well.
