If you cancel your booking within 24 hours of booking, you can choose either to a) receive a method-of-payment refund or b) hold the value of the ticket as a flight credit or Transferable Flight Credit TM (depending on the fare) to buy a future flight.
If you have been affected by a Southwest-initiated cancellation, you can self-serve and change each flight date/time in your original reservation, both the impacted and non-impacted, by up to 14 days from your original travel date and up to two times at no additional cost.

Most flights can be changed or canceled through our website or the Southwest app without needing to call. Look for the Manage Reservations option on our website or app, pull up your reservation, and then tap or click either the Change or Cancel option.

If booked with Wanna Get Away® or with Wanna Get Away Plus™ fare class and you cancelled your flight at least 10 minutes prior to travel, the air portion of your booking will be refunded in a Southwest Airlines air credit, which may be used on a future trip with Southwest Vacations.
