1. Re: Spirit Airlines Seat Assignment. 15 years ago. I flew Spirit several weeks ago, they charged me when I signed in for boarding passes, 24 hours before the flight. I also had Big Front Seats for the return trip and they would only let me pre-assign 4 of the 6 seats.
