7 Νοε 2020 · A Bonesword is a Tyranid close combat Biomorph which can drain the life-force out of its victims. A bonesword is living organism, which has a small brain situated deep within its hilt and has a rudimentary sentience that allows it to gradually grow in length and repair any battle damage to itself and maintain a deadly monomolecular edge.
I don’t think Tyranid warriors in general are worth the points but if I do field them I always take the boneswords. They aren’t that expensive compared to the model cost and they are flat better than most of the other melee options (arguably the whip is better if you expect to get charged a lot)
Creating boneswords from your Tyranid Warrior sprue. Instead of looking for boneswords from 3rd party sellers, purchasing them on ebay, or 3d printing them, you can take the quicker and easier path of converting your own. Here are two ways that I've made extra swords. Version 1: cut the scything talon off at the wrist on a pair of arms.

I’ve had my warriors since 3rd edition. Bone swords were not an option at that point and I’ve never bought more. Is there a way to get them by themselves or some other kit I can use? I’m thinking of just turning scything talons backwards.

Bone Sword. The Tyranid Bone Sword carried by the Tyranid Hive Tyrant as a default weapon is a formidable weapon. It is AP3 so it will cut through most amour, and can cause instant death on a 6 to wound. This means that it is a great weapon to take on enemy characters.
