Anyone can standby for an earlier flight, but only AAdvantage ® status members can standby for a later flight the same day. Same-day confirmed changes and standby are subject to availability on select flights.
Same-day standby allows you to fly on an earlier American or American Eagle ® flight on your day of departure if seats are available. You can request to be added to the standby list on aa.com or at an airport kiosk.
