The Philippines has five types of climates: tropical rainforest, tropical monsoon, tropical savanna, humid subtropical and oceanic (the latter two are found in higher-altitude areas). The country overall is characterized by relatively high temperature, oppressive humidity and plenty of rainfall.
The Philippines generally has a maritime tropical climate dominated by rainy and dry seasons. Except in the higher mountains, temperatures remain warm, with annual averages ranging from around 23 to 32°C (73 to 90°F) across the archipelago.
