30 Ιουν 2010 · it appears that this permission setting isn't set during the OS upgrade, and the Apache user can't read the config file, and throws an error. At least this solved it for me.
1 Νοε 2023 · 403 usually is an error at Apple; the file is protected against access. Not something that can be “fixed” locally. Booting the latest macOS supported by the Mac is somewhat more likely to work, based on past discussions.

No matter how I set up my httpd-vhosts.conf/hosts/httpd.conf files, I continuously get a 403 forbidden error when visiting localhost OR "test.com" on my browser. The error / files / other information is listed below.
The default Apache install on my Mac is giving 403 Forbidden errors for everything (default directory, user home directory, virtual server, etc). After sifting through the config files, I figured I'd give nginx a try.
