12 Σεπ 2022 · Country of residence is one of the many parameters used to determine whether you require a visa for your trip. It can definitely have immigration implications. It's especially relevant if you can document it (e.g. you have a residence permit) and you know that this exempts you from some visa requirement somewhere.
We are flying from USA to Greece, with a connection flight in Canada. The Greece Passenger Locator Form is asking what my arrival flight is, which is flight from Canada to Greece. It's asking my "Country of Departure". It's not clear if I should put USA, or Canada.
Additionally, all travellers arriving in Greece, regardless of their country of origin, are no longer required to display a valid certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19, or evidence of a negative test result from SARS-CoV-2 infection (PCR or Rapid Antigen test).
Third-country nationals who are family members of an EU citizen must submit an application for a residence document within 3 months of arrival. The application is submitted to the immigration authority of their place of residence. The applicant must produce an ID card or valid travel document.
16 Μαΐ 2024 · “Country of residence” refers to the country where a person currently lives and intends to stay for an extended period. For visa holders and immigrants in the USA, this is often the United States, especially if they have a long-term visa or permanent residency status.
