  1. Many autodialers consider a connection as a live reaction and ping a number as recallable. Downside to that tech is sometimes a voicemail is treated as a live answer by some systems. This is 100% the biggest thing you can do to prevent scam calls. If you don't recognize the number, DON'T ANSWER.

  2. The place to dump all kinds of scam numbers to prank call them and also to spread awareness against such scammers. Find active scam numbers daily! NOTE: POSTING ANY KIND OF PERSONAL NUMBER (INCLUDING SPOOFS) IS STRICTLY AGAINST THE RULES.

  3. I use Verizon's spam blocker for a first layer of defense. Google Voice's spam filter is the second layer. Mr. Number's filter is the third layer. AND FINALLY I can use either Verizon/Voice/Mr. Number/or my phone to block individual numbers.

  4. Title says it all. I've been reducing the amount of spam calls substantially this way. I used to get almost 1 spam call an hour but now it's 1 a week or so. Just answer the call and mute the line immediately.

  5. How to stop scam calls. Scambait Discussion. I use to enjoy getting the odd scam call from time to time. I'd take the call and see how long I could waste their time before calling them different slur words until they hung up on me.

  6. Be civil to one another (no name calling or insults). Personal army requests or "scam the scammer"/scambaiting posts are not permitted. No uncensored gore, personal photographs, or NSFL content permitted without being properly redacted.

  7. Implement an asterisk server and use the FCC robocalls list as your block list. With asterisk block the number you don't like or want calling. Screen the calls. Pull your own scam when they call. Keep them on hold for long periods after you get the introduction. Just eat their time up. If a female calls ask her if she wants phone sex.
