The Indigo Book: An Open and Compatible Implementation of A Uniform System of Citation (formerly Baby Blue's Manual of Legal Citation) is a free content version of the Bluebook system of legal citation.
The IndigoBook is a free and open statement of the “Bluebook” rules that are commonly applied to US legal resources. The first (and current) edition is the creation Christopher Sprigman and a team of students at New York University, published by Carl Malamud at PublicResource.org .
1 Μαΐ 2016 · DS: So, if you feel comfortable discussing it, how did you approach the legal copyright concerns posed by the Indigo Book, what was formally known as Baby Blue, and how did you address these concerns when you were drafting it?
The Indigo Book provides legal citation guidance for all U.S. legal materials, books, periodicals, Internet and other electronic resources. The Indigo Book also provides more in-depth guidance on how to cite bills and legislative history.

26 Σεπ 2019 · The Indigo Book is an open system of citation that had its beta-release in 2016. It was created by a group of NYU law students and professor, Professor Christopher Jon Sprigman, on the idea that although The Bluebook is copyrighted, the underlying system of citation belongs to everyone.
