The Information Search Process (ISP) is a six stage model of the users’ holistic experience in the process of information seeking. The ISP model, based on two decades of empirical research, identifies three realms of experience: the affective (feelings), the cognitive (thoughts) and the physical (actions) common to each stage.
1 Φεβ 2016 · The concept of business models has reached global impact, both for company's competitive success and in management science. Its application by authors from diverse areas has led to a previously very heterogeneous comprehension of the concept.
This paper aims to clarifyi the concept of business models, its usages, and its roles in the Information Systems domain. A review of the literature shows a broad diversity of understandings, usages, and places in the firm.
11 Απρ 2023 · We suggest three promising areas for future research: business model portfolios, competitive dynamics between heterogeneous business models, and business model design for more sustainable economy.
A model of the information search process is presented derived from a series of five studies investigating common experiences of users in information seeking situations, suggesting a gap between the users’ natural process of information use and the information system and intermediaries’ traditional patterns of information provision.
