When prompted at check-in (online, on your mobile or at an airport kiosk), indicate that you are travelling without checked bags. At the airport, see an Air Canada agent to have your bags tagged and checked free of charge, upon presentation of military identification.
Check in from 24 hours before departure. Print your boarding pass or have it sent to your mobile device. Choose or change your seat, indicate the number of bags you’ll be checking in, or select from other available check-in options.
Eligible active and retired members of the Canadian and U.S. military are entitled to up to three pieces of checked baggage, each weighing up to 32 kg (70 lb) each.
In online or even kiosk check in select no bags. Go to the baggage counter, show your Mil ID and they’ll check your bags for you for free.
AIR CANADA. Through AIR CANADA, AIR CANADA ROUGE or AIR CANADA EXPRESS FLIGHT all serving CAF members and veterans can check three pieces of luggage free of charge. At check-in ask to have the baggage fee waived, upon presentation of your military identification.
Duty free items are available for purchase on board select flights from the U.S. to Canada over 3.5 hours in length, and on flights between Canada and the Caribbean.
