International checked bag limits. Some places outside of the U.S. have their own limits for checked bags. If you are flying to, from, or through these places, you can only check oversized, overweight and extra bags if you follow certain rules. These international embargoes can change without notice.
We may require a carry-on bag to travel as a checked bag if it cannot be safely stowed on a particular flight. Checked bags: Maximum of 62 linear inches (length + width + height; 158 cm) including handles and wheels and maximum of 50 pounds (22.6 kg) in weight.
The maximum size of a checked bag can be 30 in x 20 in x 12 in (76 cm x 52 cm x 30 cm) or 62 total in., including handles and wheels. Current bag prices are available here. One personal item that fits in the smaller sizer box (like a small backpack) is included with your ticket. Another personal item or anything larger like a standard carry-on or checked bag will need to be paid for.
5 Φεβ 2024 · If it's more than 62 inches, then it's considered oversized baggage and will be subject to a $150 fee on top of your checked bag fee. And if your Spirit Airlines checked bag is more than 80 linear inches, it won't be accepted, period – unless it's a considered special item.

Spirit Airlines considers several items in its fee calculations, including the route, dates of travel, and Spirit Saver$ Club or standard fare.

Oversized fee: Starting at $100 per bag if 63 to 80 inches, including wheels and handles.
