Also, Spirit Airlines only accepts pets on domestic flights and does not allow them on international flights. On international flights, Spirit accepts only service animals.

Under the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA), all major US airlines must allow service animals to travel in the passenger cabin with their handler at no additional cost. This includes Spirit Airlines.
