17 Ιαν 2024 · We are gathering information about a trip to Costa Rica in November and would like to know if anyone has used either Caravan.com or AAA Member Choice, for seeing the country. (Through their AAA membership plan.) Any information on either, or both of these tour choices will be greatly appreciated.

AAA commission (collected from hotels) is generally 10%. OTA's usually get 15% or more. For the lodging portion I would think they would be competitive. As far as a package goes, AAA package rates are usually around 20-25% commission to the agency.

Does anyone have any advice as to whether or not AAA is a good option for booking travel because of their discounts and travel department, or would a standard travel agent make more sense? I've only known one person to use AAA and they said they were good but my husband is not sold on the idea.
