Irish passports do not have a minimum validity requirement while travelling to the UK or within the EU. When travelling within Europe with an Irish passport, it should be valid for the duration of your stay.
27 Ιουλ 2021 · Enhanced Passenger Locator Form is launched. From today, the online Passenger Locator Form will be upgraded to complement the travel measures introduced from 19 July. In particular, the enhanced Passenger Locator Form will support the implementation of the EU Digital COVID Certificate.
• Passengers arriving to Ireland from overseas are required to complete this form, including Irish citizens. • Once completed, the form should be given to an officer at your point of entry to the State.
5 Ιουλ 2021 · The Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly, has today signed regulations that move the COVID-19 Passenger Locator form to an online only system. Completion of the form online in advance of travel to Ireland will also be a pre-boarding requirement for passengers.
Passenger Locator Forms (PLFs) are used by public health authorities to facilitate cross border contact tracing in case travellers are exposed to an infectious disease during their travel by plane, ship (cruise/ferry), rail, bus or automobile.
All passengers arriving to Ireland from overseas are expected to self-isolate for 14 days on entry into the state. Self-isolation means staying indoors and completely avoiding contact with other people. This applies to all passengers, regardless of which country you have travelled from or your country of citizenship (i.e. including Irish citizens).
