The public information viewed on our online case search system reflects the docket entries in civil, criminal, criminal domestic violence and tax cases, probate cases for large estates and small estates, disclaimers of interest, major litigation, wills, and foreign estate proceedings.
There are three ways to look at court case records: Go to the courthouse and ask to look at paper case records. Go to the courthouse and look at electronic case records. If your court offers it, look at electronic case records over the internet. This is called “remote access.”.
Find information on those types of Traffic cases on the DC Superior Court online case search system. The DC Superior Court does not handle minor traffic offenses; the DC Department of Motor Vehicles handles these cases.
The online case search system (eAccess) provides docket information for most cases as well as document images in some cases. Docket information and document images are available within minutes of being input or scanned into the court record.
Driver’s Record Request. This online system allows you to print your driver’s record. You may only request your own driver’s record using our online system; if you need someone else’s driver record, see below.
These are examples of superior court case records: Divorce decrees or orders; Wills; Name change records; Criminal history records; Traffic tickets and other traffic violation records; and; Probate records, including records of guardianships and conservatorships.
