At the modern Olympic Games, as of the conclusion of the 2020 Summer Paralympics, eight Olympic/Paralympic athletes and five horses have died as a result of competing in or practising their sport at Games venues; one other death was potentially a result of competition.
At least six people are known to have died as a result of mishaps on rides at the park. Healthcare workers and local residents had nicknamed the place " Traction Park", [2] "Accident Park", " Class Action Park" [3] and "Friction Park".
