Take a look at the fabricate spell. You would need the weight in iron, (if you want to be extra accurate, iron, leather and linen) to craft a full suit of plate armor. As it is an item requiring a high degree of craftsmanship, you also need proficiency in smiths tools. The cost is not relevant.
Plate armour and deep water. How do other DM's handle this? I'm taking my party to a sinking dungeon pretty soon but have always steered clear of water for simplicity sake as I have a few plate wearing tanks.

6 Δεκ 2018 · Light Armor users easily get to 16 AC, and Medium Armor users can get to 17 at half of the cost of plate. Now, plate is 18 AC, but it comes at a great financial cost, Strength restrictions, and Stealth disadvantage.
