Thin-wall EMT metal conduit routes wire and cable in general purpose applications. Also known as electrical metallic tubing, this lightweight conduit helps create smooth, continuous raceways for faster wire pulling than heavy-wall RMC or medium-wall IMC metal conduit.
Electrical metallic tubing (EMT), also commonly called thin-wall, is a listed steel raceway of circular cross section, which is unthreaded, and nominally 10′ long. 20′ lengths are also available. Covered by Article 358 of the NEC, EMT is available in trade sizes 1/2 through 4.

This 1/2 in. x 10 ft. EMT is designed to protect and route cables and conductors. It can be installed either exposed or concealed. Install it inside or outside using rain-tight fittings (not included). This EMT is made of unthreaded galvanized steel and has an organic coating inside.
