Water Saving Tips for Kids. There are a number of ways to save water, and they all start with you: Bathroom. Drop tissues in the trash instead of flushing them and save water every time. Reuse your towels. Shorten your shower by a minute or two and you’ll save up to 150 gallons per month. Take 5-minute showers instead of baths.
