13 Δεκ 2009 · However when it gets a little fouling it fails to go into battery. The pistol shot fine for about 60 rounds today at a local IDPA match. Got to the last stage of 6 stages and it had 2 FTBs with 2 different mags.

13 Μαρ 2012 · I was at the range today, trying out my new 1911. Everything with my WC 10 rd mags worked great, but the WC 8rd mag and a CMC 8 round mag both exhibited a failure of the slide to return to full battery.
13 Μαρ 2023 · Rounds 2-3-4-5-6 would randomly or all not go into battery, #1 always without fail. The first thing I noticed was the mag would not drop on release. When I locked the slide back I could then pull the mag.
If it still won’t go into battery and you have your extractor adjusted correctly, it could be your magazines (they look like ACT mags or Mec-gars?) or maybe your chamber is too tight. Edit: looks like this is a Commander, in which case, try 18-22 lbs.
14 Ιουν 2022 · Towards the end of my session (about 100 rounds) I began having a failure to go into battery. The rounds would start to chamber, but would not seat into the chamber. Some of the time I could press on the back of the slide and the slide would lock into battery.

Soon after that I began having these failures to go into battery. I immediately switched from Chip Mccormick mags over to Wilson Combat mags. I tried downloading from 8 to 7, then switched mags again over to Tripp Research.
