20 Απρ 2006 · I bought a brand new 1988 CBR1000F Monza Red and Black Hurricane. Great bike for the time. A real heavy bike but at 6′-1″ and 190 lbs, the weight was no problem for me.

The Honda CBR1000F Hurricane is a sport touring motorcycle, part of the CBR series manufactured by Honda from 1987 to 1996 in the United States and from 1987 to 1999 in the rest of the world. It is powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC, 998 cc (60.9 cu in), 16-valve inline-four engine.
6 Δεκ 2008 · I crashed on my previously pristine 1988 CBR1000F Hurricane. I bought the bike new in 1988. The Hurricane only had 12000 miles on it. You can see pics of the bike in my gallery. The good news is that the lady who cut me off and caused the accident had insurance and they covered that bike.

The CBR1000F Hurricane has to be one of Honda of America's best engineering achievements in Honda history. For a reliable, dependable, fuel efficient, sport touring rocket ship on two wheels, this bike has consistently put smiles on my face over the years.
20 Αυγ 2008 · When it dies, slowly open the fuel cap and listen for moving air. Also, inspect all hoses before, during, and after pulling the tank. Look for creases in the lines, and replace as necessary. It's a great bike, hard to believe the original hurricane is over twenty years old now.
