17 Νοε 2021 · If you purchase LEDs based on wattage, you will likely buy a bulb that is too bright or just doesn't work in your space. Instead of focusing on wattage when purchasing LEDs, it's best to look at lumens to determine the brightness, or light output, from the bulb.
For example, if you wanted to replace a 60-watt incandescent bulb, what wattage LED bulb would be roughly equivalent? Using the 7:1 ratio, simply divide 60 watts by 7 to get roughly 9 watts. But efficacy varies greatly from manufacturer to manufacturer, so it’s best to check the Lighting Facts label and try to match lumens.
Calculate the Lumens you’ll need to light your space . Need help figuring out the recommended lumens for your space? Use our calculator below.
11 Απρ 2024 · The key concept behind an LED light bulb equivalent chart is lumens per watt (LPW). LPW measures how efficiently a light source converts electrical energy into visible light. Incandescent bulbs have low LPW values, typically around 10-20 LPW, meaning they produce less visible light per watt consumed compared to LEDs.
