So I’ve been trying to go 25N, but my commander mentioned 35T and says that it’s essentially 17C/25B/25N all meshed into one MOS. True or False? Doing my research
It's a good MOS with some good skills and career prospects if you market yourself, and the clearance really really helps, but it's sometimes overhyped to the point where every trainee thinks that they're going to make at least six figures right out of the schoolhouse.
So no, just one day they flipped over from 33W to 35T. We like to hold on to our maintainer roots because we, honestly, the 'non-MI' of MI. We're the only non-analyst non-collector MOS, and honestly, when you think Intel, gathering it or analyzing it is kind of...'it'...when it comes to the job.
If you go 35T, please study and get your SEC+ cert during AIT. If you don't, you are worthless and will be doing all of the dumb details.
