The case length of the .380 is .680″ and the .38 Super (and the .38 ACP) are .900″ long. For reference, the 9mm Luger/Para is .754″ case length. Bullseye is a fast burning powder and perhaps better suited to the small cases like the 380 Auto.
22 Ιουν 2021 · This powder is an ideal choice for .45 ACP and .38 Special target loads and can be used in low-recoil 9mm Luger and .40 S&W applications as well. My typical uses for this powder are .45 ACP loads for shooting competitions and 9mm Luger loads for the pistol caliber carbine when only standard pistol velocities are desired out of a 16″ barrel.
The .380 is not the best choice for a progressive loader because it requires a little more “feel” when neck expanding and seating. I use a Hornady Lock-n-Load Powder Measure for production reloading.
If you’re loading magnum rounds, you might want to try a slow-burning powder like Hodgdon H110 or Accurate 5744, but for a 38, 380, 25 auto, and 9mm, Winchester 231 is always an excellent choice. A powder that deserves a place in every handgun reloader’s arsenal.

Why reload .380? The components necessary to load this little firecracker are fairly budget. Bullets can be had by the 500 lot. Powder use per round is miniscule.
