14 Νοε 2023 · The 440 is a great foundation for a high revving engine because it comes with so many 'built in' features: - block is skirted for extra strength - 5 head bolts per cyl - small main brg size - shaft rocker system, more stable with higher spring pressures needed for higher rpms. - long rods/short stroke favours high rpm
3 Μαρ 2020 · I used a Ohio Crankshaft 4.15 stroker kit to my 440, Edelbrock RPM heads (although today I would have used the Trick Flow 240s), Hughes cam and entire valve train (their recommendation), my old six pack set up (a single 4 Bbl would be easier, or FI), Doug's 2" headers, Milodon pan with HV pump and made 450 horse power to the tires.

31 Ιουλ 2023 · I have a mild 440 with stock bottom, ported 906 heads (79cc) a bit more aggresive cam, roller rockers , rpm intake. It runs good but i want to have more comp and more cam in my engine. Aiming for 500+ isch HP and a more aggresive sound. What aluminium heads and camshaft do you recomend for me to achive that? Pic of my engine.
11 Σεπ 2012 · Crate engine HEMIs may be the rage, but building a 440 for street use is a great way to make big reliable torque numbers without really trying. The original 440 block was hot tanked and cleaned, then align bored to make it square.
