23 Απρ 2011 · I have a few military Swede Mausers in 6.5x55 and they of some of the most accurate rifles ever. I have one that some Bubba had already started hacking on that I could get for almost nothing over 20 years ago that I turned into a hunting rifle.

9 Μαρ 2021 · But the 6.5x55 Swede can offer hunters an edge over the 6.5 Creedmoor. For that reason, and to honor its veteran heritage as the dominant 6.5mm cartridge around the world, let’s take a close look at it.
17 Μαΐ 2009 · With the Swede standby powder RL22, I'm running SMK 142's at 2700 fps, and SMK 123's at 2900 fps. Not "hot" by any measure in my modern action, brass is lasting easily. 1 Μαΐ 2018 · While popular in Europe, the cartridge did not catch on in the U.S., given the lack of rifles. The attraction of the 6.5×55 is it's mild recoil and superb down-range performance. Ample bullet selection — 90 to 160 grain — gives the cartridge plenty of versatility and makes it a gem for reloaders.
15 Οκτ 2015 · Take a peek at the chart. The short answer is to use 45.5 grains with 120-, 125-, and 129-grain bullets and 43.5 to 44.5 grains with 140-grainers. 29 Δεκ 2011 · I am shooting the 6.5 X 55 swede at about 3000 fps using Reloader 17 and approx. 44 grains of powder with a smk 142grain bullet, I have no high pressure signs. Still working on Load development but getting better than 1/2 moa on 5 shot groups.
Let's take a look. Before choosing the 6.5x55 cartridge, I asked myself the following questions: Bullet selection: Could I get quality high B.C. bullets? Velocity/B.C. ratio: Could I get more velocity than the 6.5 Creedmoor with an equivalently aerodynamic projectile or a better B.C.?
