  1. 3 Ιαν 2010 · 1966 Mustang rearend ratio. From factory they came with a 3.00, 3.25 or a 3.50. To be sure after 44 years, have to count wheel revs vs the driveshaft. It's most likely a 3.00, most were. Check the door tag and if it has a 1 under where is says axle then it's a 3.00.

It was dependable, economical to maintain, had adequate power and was easily modified. In 1965 through 1966, you could get the 289 in either a 2 barrel or four barrel version.

  7. 26 Μαΐ 2009 · Axle shafts are approx 30" in length & 25&3/4" in length. Axle shafts will fit 62 to 65 Fairlane, 64 to 65 Comet, 64 to 65 Falcon, 62 to 63 Meteor, & 65 Mustang. If anyone can find out that would be cool, would save me trying to measure up a broken axle. I have tried though, not trying to be lazy.
