I took a couple college courses on the civilian side, and relatively easily upgraded the associates to a bachelors degree in Health Science. 68K AIT will give you over 60-college credits. As long as you have a couple of English and maybe a math class you can upgrade it to a associates degree.

Medical Laboratory Specialist 68K. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you'll have the important responsibility of caring for and aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of the Soldiers. You’ll collect samples from patients and perform chemical and biological tests to help diagnose.
The Army 68K tests blood, body fluids, and tissue of patients to support both doctors and nurses. Their job is critical so that medical staff can properly diagnose and treat patients in Army medical care faculties.
