I'm faced with the decision of a Phase 2 AIT location for the 68K program. What would you pick and why? What are the policies/general quality of life? What is there to do? Medical Laboratory Specialist 68K. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you'll have the important responsibility of caring for and aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of the Soldiers. You’ll collect samples from patients and perform chemical and biological tests to help diagnose.

Army AIT is extensive for MOS 68K at 52 weeks. Medical Laboratory Specialists are taught about medical laboratory procedures, administration, and record-keeping duties.
When you complete your AIT, you can take the MLT(ASCP) exam via Route 3. While serving, you can use your TA and start completing your Bachelor's. You can also work part-time or per-diem off-base to earn extra money and gain more experience in the field.
