I took a couple college courses on the civilian side, and relatively easily upgraded the associates to a bachelors degree in Health Science. 68K AIT will give you over 60-college credits. As long as you have a couple of English and maybe a math class you can upgrade it to a associates degree.

Being a 68K is great though. You get an associates (almost) out of it, your license to practice (if you pass), and you work in the air conditioning. It has a direct commission track if you want to go that route, and several schools have MLT2MLS programs designed for soldiers.

Although both are extremely low density, so if you plan on making a career out of the military it will be difficult to get promoted, to say the least. As a 68K you will have the opportunity to become accredited through ASCP as an MLT.
