17 Μαρ 2009 · I have a friend that has a Tolley 8br and I called him today to ask about the gun. He values his gun at $1200. I have fired this gun and it has 34" Damascus barrels and was reproofed in 2001 for nitro. However, he only shoots black powder in it. This gun is a very strong 90% with the maker's hard case, containers & tools.
Pistol-grip stock with 14 ¾” to centre, over a perished Silver’s pad and spacer. Steel grip cap and blued guard. The top-lever operates Tolley 1877 patent ‘Screw Grip’ third bite and double Purdey under-bolt.
J & W Tolley 8 bore shotgun. Hannmer gun Non-ejector. The gun as been held in a private collection for many years and remains in very good condition. 36″ Barrels, 15″ Stock, 3 3/4 (95mm)chambers.
16 Οκτ 2021 · Henry was probably employed by the firm of J & W Tolley when, on 3 February 1877, he filed a patent (No. 461) for a drop-down barrel cocking action with a top rib extension and hook, the "Giant Grip". This had a hook on the top lever which fitted into a slot in the top rib extension.
19 Μαΐ 2007 · The 36” fluid steel barrel has excellent mirror bore, 3 ¼” chamber, .860 bore diameter with extra full choke has only a few handling marks and 98% blue. The mechanics are excellent, with a crisp trigger, strong springs, and perfect screws.

25 Ιουν 2017 · It was a bar-action gun by J&W Tolley, with rounded profile bar, quality damascus barrels, early, straight-drive strikers and ‘C’ scroll hammers, (later hammer guns have the strikers at an angle, as they are less prone to stick in soft centre-fire cartridge caps that way) and very tasteful full-coverage engraving.
