4 Σεπ 2023 · Speaker crossovers can only be used with the speaker impedance they’re designed for or they won’t sound the same. For example, using an 8 Ohm home speaker crossover with a 4 Ohm car speaker won’t work correctly. That’s because the part values were chosen for one impedance only.
10 Ιουλ 2023 · You can change speaker impedance with resistors for two situations: To use a lower impedance speaker than you normally could with an amplifier or stereo. To use a higher impedance speaker where a lower one is needed (for example: speaker crossover designed only for a certain Ohm rating speaker).
18 Ιουλ 2013 · What would happen to the overall response of 4 ohm speaker through a crossover designed for an 8 ohm load? I think I know the answer but I would appreciate it if someone could independently confirm this.
3 Μαΐ 2024 · This speaker crossover calculator will help you design a set of amazing sounding speakers. It'll tell you what capacitors and inductors you need to create a passive crossover design for either two speakers (a 2-way passive crossover) or three speakers (a 3-way passive crossover).
6 Ιαν 2024 · The MTM configuration you mentioned is best off done by using two 8 Ohm midrange in parallel, not 4 Ohms. Otherwise the decibel sensitivity will be as you expect if they’re wired for 8 Ohms or 2 Ohms (in addition to min. Ohms & crossover issues).
22 Ιαν 2024 · This speaker crossover calculator will help you design a speaker circuit that can produce amazing audio. It will tell you what capacitors and speakers you need to produce a certain crossover frequency and the other way around.
19 Μαΐ 2005 · Gonna be powering it with one channel of a QSC RMX2450 [750w rms into 4 ohm] if the passive LPF doesn't change the impedance. If the passive LPF changes the 4 ohm driver to 8 ohm of what the filter is rated at then I'll use the sub in bridge mode giving it 1500w rms into 8 ohms.
