Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a rating of 27% based upon a sample of 193 reviews with an average rating of 4.7/10. The website's critics consensus reads, "Grim and morose, Seven Pounds is also undone by an illogical plot."
It's a very powerful film and Will Smith and the rest of the cast deserve our applause and respect for playing their roles so well. Credit to the scriptwriters and director for also allowing this film to exist, it was amazing. A definite must see film and one worthy of nomination for awards. 258 out of 361 found this helpful.

Seven Pounds is a 2008 movie starring Will Smith, and it's only got 26% on rotten tomatoes. A lot of the critics say that it's one of the worst movies ever made, and I don't get that at all. It's definitely not perfect, but I don't think it deserves these reviews.
