THE RUSSIAN BLACK FINISH OVER PITTED METAL IS PROBABLY 98%. THE LAMINATED WOOD SHOWS YEARS OF WEAR AND THERE IS A 3” CRACK STARTING RIGHT BEHIND THE RECEIVER TOP SIDE.

The following Nazi 98k rifles are RUSSIAN CAPTURES in EXCELLENT external condition with either laminated (or, infrequently) solid-walnut buttstocks as-noted (some having visible Nazi cartouches on the right side of the wood).
Markings: There is an import mark on the barrel that reads “K98 GERMANY 8MM / C.A.I. ST. ALB. VT.”. The top of the receiver is marked “dot”, German inspection stamp “eagle / 63”, and “1944”.
Markings: The import mark on the barrel reads “R GUNS CARPENTERSVILLE IL GERMANY K98 8mm”. The top of the receiver is marked with a faded Nazi Waffenamt “eagle / swastika / WaA80”, the factory code “dou”, and the year “44”.
