20 Οκτ 2023 · How the American standby list works. If you’re not booked on a flight, you can go to the “Flight status” tab, search any flight, and when you select it, you’ll see the “Waitlist” tab, which shows you this information; this will only show up to eight hours before departure.
I only use Trip Planner to see schedules and routing (the routings that will display when you use the tool to search Priority Lists will include flights not on AA metal, which is why I only use PL for seat count).
Checking in for American as a non-rev to get on the standby list? We usually fly our own airline and use UAL for international. UAL allows us to use the retail app to check in for standby.
17 Δεκ 2020 · The term stands for “non-revenue”, which means you only pay a fraction of the actual ticket cost, if any. In many cases, the ticket may be free. The airline is not making money from non-rev tickets.
22 Αυγ 2016 · We have to fly a family member to a domestic destination due to a family situation. There are two options: (1) I can purchase a ticket with miles. Seats are available albeit at an inflated cost. (2) Another family member could fly him non-rev (AA), but there is no availability at the moment.

22 Αυγ 2016 · Unlike what at least one poster said, all D-pass flying on AA is non-rev, space available. D-passes never earn mileage credit. There is a pecking order starting with D1, which is a pass available only to employees and immediate family members in VERY limited quanitities each year.
