18 Ιαν 2022 · On January 18, the RTA launched Fare Programs Online, a web-based online customer portal that allows people with disabilities and seniors to apply for, replace, and renew Reduced Fare and Ride Free Permits. The portal can be accessed at Fares.RTAChicago.org. This marks the first time these services are available online.
6 ημέρες πριν · Mail the completed renewal application and a copy of your Illinois State ID Card, Illinois Driver’s License, or City of Chicago CityKey Card to the RTA at the address listed on the application. You can also renew your Ride Free Permit online at Fares.RTAChicago.org for a faster processing time.
Seniors, aged 65 or older: If you are an Illinois resident, and currently enrolled in the Illinois Department on Aging’s Benefit Access Program, you are eligible for free transit on fixed routes operated by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Metra and Pace.
18 Ιαν 2022 · To improve access to transit, the RTA Fare Programs Portal enables seniors and people with disabilities to apply for, replace, and renew fare permits without needing to submit a paper application.
The Benefit Access program offers two benefits for persons with disabilities: A license plate fee discount, and; Free rides on fixed-route transit systems. This program is administered by the state of Illinois and also includes seniors 65 and older. To apply online for this program, visit ilaging.illinois.gov.
All reduced fare permit cardholders with an expired permit or a permit with an upcoming expiration date on the front of the card will need to re-apply. Reduced Fare Permits do not auto-renew. Please follow the same application directions as above to apply.
With the new system, you can schedule, view or cancel your appointment by clicking on the lookup an existing appointment and cancel or reschedule an appointment buttons on the appointment homepage. Remember, you must bring the confirmation code that was provided to you by the appointment system.
