Acer negundo. box elder. A vigorous deciduous tree with pinnate leaves on green young shoots, male and female flowers on separate plants; yellow autumn colour
Acer negundo 'Flamingo' is a distinctive, variegated cultivar of the Box Elder maple tree, renowned for its stunning tricolor foliage displaying a mix of pink, white, and green, giving it a flamingo-like appearance.
This is a selection of variegated boxelder. The leaves have 3 to 5 lobes, and are variegated white and green with hints of pink. Foliage turns gold in fall. Blooms are inconspicuous. Because of the leaf coloration, Flamingo prefers regular watering during hot summer months and late day shade to protect the white in the foliage from burning.
