15 Ιαν 2020 · I have used Act-mag's in my P220, in 1911's (9mm + .45 acp), a P226, CZ 75, to name a few. I've never had any issues with them. Act-mag mags are pretty top-notch magazines, as far as I'm concerned.
7 Απρ 2010 · I have shot the ACT-Mag from numerous vendors, and under numerous names. I never had good experiences with them. As mentioned, the feed lips crack. Okay, maybe they fixed that. But my biggest complaint against the mags is that, as has already been mentioned, they're just not terribly durable.
14 Σεπ 2017 · ACT mags are my preferred magazines for all my 1911s. Been using them for years, they are reliable, I use them in IDPA matches, so they hit the sand and hit the concrete. The cracked feed lip problems are a thing of the past (10 years ago!).
3 Δεκ 2012 · You are probably fine with the ACT-Mags. ACT-Mags were one of the first, if not the first, of the true 8 round mags. Those that are longer than the flush fit models and the slightly longer McCormick PowerMags and Wilson 47D's. Tripp, Wilson ETM's, CheckMate Extended tube mags, and others, are now available with longer tubes like the ACT-Mags.
24 Οκτ 2015 · One of my complaints about M&P pistols are the magazines - expensive and somewhat hard to find. Looking for a 3rd party option has been tough, but I came across the Act-Mag brand and I'm really curious.
The ACT mag that came with my Metro Arms 1911 caused most of the jams when I first got it. My friend had an act-mag for his as well. I tried his, and my gun still jammed. His gun runs his mag fine, but mine would jam it. Get Chip McCormic mags, they are just better in every way.
16 Σεπ 2016 · The bane of the 1911 is cheaply made magazines, with poor ammunition close behind. For many years, the only choices were Colt factory magazines, which were usually high quality, then GI magazines, and poorly made gun-show magazines. Some were marked COLT 45 on the base in bold letters, and these usually meant the shooter was the real deal.
