THE BOOK OF ACTS CHAPTER 5 THE CHALLENGE OF CHAPTER FIVE The following story of Ananias and Sapphira should cause us to examine our own heart motives in giving to the Lord. It should also cause us to realize the seriousness of lying to the Holy Spirit and the results.

OBJECTIVES IN STUDYING THIS CHAPTER. To examine the sin of Ananias and Sapphira in lying to the Holy Spirit. To note the amazing signs and wonders that were done by the apostles, in which all were healed. To consider the apostles' response when government seeks to stifle the preaching of the gospel.
