30 Νοε 2022 · There's no specific therapy available to treat infectious mononucleosis. Antibiotics don't work against viral infections such as mono. Treatment mainly involves taking care of yourself, such as getting enough rest, eating a healthy diet and drinking plenty of fluids.
Treatment options for infectious mononucleosis are typically supportive in nature, such as: Bed rest; Adequate hydration; Analgesics such as paracetamol and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs ; Intravenous corticosteroids for airway obstruction, thrombocytopenia, or haemolytic anaemia.
