The manual highlights many of the features of the gun as well as a very useful exploded diagram. It doesn't include a battery or charger, so you will need to provide your own. For my testing, I'm using a compact Tenergy 11.1v 1000 mAh 20C pack, which fits very well in the stock compartment.
5 Μαΐ 2023 · Being an airsoft AEG (and being made of an aluminum alloy rather than stamped steel), the AGM MG42 is quite a bit lighter than its real steel counterpart (almost 8 lbs or so), but it is still quite hefty and solid, retaining that overall machine gun gravitas.
An evolution of the MG34 the MG42 was designed to be made using steel stampings and featured a rate of fire of 1200 rounds per minute when in infantry use and up to 1500 rounds per minute when used in vehicles and aircraft.
Question for anyone who has owned or used an AGM MG42 for any length of time: What parts of the gun can a buyer expect to break down, what trouble should be expected, and what should be upgraded? This is assuming the gun is going to be used fairly ham-handedly across a wide variety of ranges.
This gun is almost completely steel and metal alloy set aside the real wood stock and the textured panels on the pistol grip. Fully adjustable sights adorn the outer receiver alongside a folding steel bipod making this a formidable weapon of choice for any Airsoft squad.
